Lit from inside
The face of each letter or logo glows, so the shape itself is the light. Bright, crisp and easy to read, it's the classic choice for a shop name on a fascia.

Illuminated signs
Illuminated 3D letter and logo signs, designed around your brand, built in our Bournemouth workshop and installed on your shopfront.
A flat sign tells people your name.A 3D sign makes them look up.
Why 3D
An illuminated 3D sign is built up from the wall rather than printed flat. Letters and logo shapes have real depth, so they catch light in the day and glow cleanly at night.
That depth is what gives a shopfront presence. It is the difference between a name you notice and a name you walk past. We design the sign from your logo and colours, make it in our own workshop and fit it ourselves, so the shape you approved is the shape that goes up. One of our jobs is a round 3D logo sign for a milkshake shop, in its own pink and blue.
Two ways to light it
The face of each letter or logo glows, so the shape itself is the light. Bright, crisp and easy to read, it's the classic choice for a shop name on a fascia.
The light shines backwards onto the wall, so each letter or logo sits in a soft ring of light. It's quieter and more refined, popular with salons, barbers, cafés and boutiques.

Questions
It is a sign where the letters or the logo stand out from the wall with real depth, instead of being printed flat, and are lit so they read clearly after dark. It suits a shop name or a logo that stays the same.
If you want to show your name or logo, a 3D sign gives it weight and presence. If you want to change what the sign says, choose an LED message sign. Many shops use both: the name on the fascia and a message board in the window.
Not always. In England, an internally lit or halo-lit sign on business premises can be allowed without applying, within limits on size, height and position, as long as it has no intermittent light, moving feature or animation. That allowance does not apply in conservation areas. We'll check your situation with you before anything is made.
Yes. We design the sign, build it in our own workshop at Unit 2a, 11-15 Francis Avenue, Bournemouth BH11 8NX, and install it ourselves. You deal with one team from the first sketch to the moment it switches on.
It depends on the size, the type of sign, how it is fixed, access to the wall and the electrics. The quickest way to an honest figure is to send us a photo of your shopfront on WhatsApp with a rough idea of what you want.
Planning information is based on Outdoor advertisements and signs: a guide for advertisers (DCLG, 2007), GOV.UK, checked 15 October 2026. It is general guidance, not legal advice.
Share your logo and a photo of the shopfront, and we'll design the sign around them.
